Please spend the first session assembling a family tree for everyone.
Next, be sure to have on hand:
paper * pencils * pens * crayons * small watercolor set(s) * glue or glue stick * paper bowls * paper plates * colored sidewalk chalk * yarn * string * sculpey (or make your own!) * paper for drawing * and access to a fairly well-stocked kitchen or grocery store.
If you have an illustrated children's Bible available, it is fun to look at different representations of the stories from scripture.

Hound-dog Zoom-a-long Pageant
Script for zoom Christmas Pageant. May be prepared in advance with minimal costuming, minimal memorization, no staging. Parts: Mary, Joseph, Stars, Assorted Animals, 3 dogs, 3 singing inn-keepers, narrator. This script includes many Christmas classics (some with re-wording) for sing-a-long.

Walk-on Christmas Pageant
Script for walk-on Christmas Pageant based on Luke. Includes waiting for the Messiah. Two narrators tell story, while all other parts are walk-ons without speaking parts. Allows for unlimited additional cast members if costumes for animals, sheep, and/or angels are available. Parts: 2 narrators, 3 prophets (may double as 3 Kings later with quick costume adjustment), Star, Angels, Animals, Donkey, Mary, Joseph, Baby (may be doll), Sheep. Congregation sings “O Come, O Come, Emmanuel”.
